I am a journalist with over five years of writing experience. My career began in the student press at Oxford University, where I worked as Music Editor of The Oxford Student and then Co-Editor of Phaser Magazine (the University's only arts and culture magazine). During my second year, I hosted a weekly evening radio show on student radio Oxide, and the following year was invited on BBC Radio 6 to talk about Oxford's music scene.
These experiences led me to the prestigious 'International Journalism' MA course at City University, where I graduated with a Distinction. The course helped me I to expand my skillset: learning how to put together news packages and use video and audio editing software. In the summer term I was elected Editor of the course magazine: a tech publication named 'Decode'. During the course I also wrote for Gigwise and The National Student.
Since graduation, I have worked in a small publishing company and then as a freelance journalist for The Irish Times, The Times, The Evening Standard, the BBC World Service, Unherd and The Sun. My interests are varied, but I particularly enjoy writing about international politics and culture.
